Site Content and Product Data
What is Content
All content on Encole is product information and Supplier capabilities as reported or uploaded to Encole. Encole builds its search domain from product datasheets and Supplier provided information available in the public markets. The search results and product presentation pages are designed to be in a user-friendly format for customers such as engineers and technical buyers.
User Content
Registered Users on the Encole platform can upload product information directly into the Encole global catalog. The database is structured by product categories, where products are organized by their unique attributes in the navigation filter. This feature makes it possible to find a specific product among many other similar products in the global industrial markets. Currently we limit access to direct uploading capability to Users, Suppliers and Manufacturers with whom we have a good rapport. In the future Encole may choose to open direct uploading capability to a wider Supplier base, as the User contribution process matures over time.
You as a Registered User are solely responsible for all User Content you upload to Encole. You agree that you will not upload or submit to us any User Content that (i) infringes or otherwise violates the rights of others, including patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, publicity or privacy rights, (ii) violates any local, state, national, or regional laws of the United States or any other jurisdiction, (iii) is unlawful, derogatory, obscene, threatening, defamatory or otherwise objectionable, (iv) uses a false email address, impersonates any person or entity or is otherwise misleading as to its origin, or (v) contains files or viruses that may adversely affect the operation of Encole.

Quality of Content
Title and Description of Products or Services
This section is for Users uploading a product family and individual products to be listed on Encole. Think of a product title as a brief definition of the product function and its key properties. The title should be as short as possible, just enough words for the customer to understand if they are on the right page, at a glance.
The description should include the intended use of the product, typical use cases if possible, benefits of particular features. Description is not a marketing snippet. Description should help the customer further decide if this is the right product for them. Customers want to know if the product would work for them, would it solve their needs.
Drawings and Product Images
We prefer CAD generated images of a product in an ISO view, on a white background. This way the product is shown without distractions. The product outline should fill as much of the image total space as possible, edge to edge. Ideally use 600px by 600px total image size. This is sufficient to clearly see the product.
Product drawings should have a border and a title block. In the title block include the product title, manufacturer, and if possible global tolerances. Omit any proprietary data such as your manufacturing callouts, these are not important for a customer of your products. Important dimensions to convey are the envelope size, interface features such as mating surfaces, threads, mounting bolt circle diameters, etc. The drawing must leave no ambiguity about the dimensions and tolerances of product form, fit and key features.
Terms for International Business
Applies to all orders outside of the United States:
Customers who place Orders and purchase Products or Services from an international (outside the United States) location will be placing an order for Products or Services on the Encole website for shipping to the Customer from Encole or from an Encole foreign affiliate. Because these foreign affiliates may be subject to unique laws or regulations in the country they operate, certain terms and conditions may be applicable to the transaction that is completed for you by these Encole foreign affiliates.
