Level Gauge Sight Glass for Water and Non-Contrasting Liquids

A simple solution to show a liquid level is to use a flag or a bright color ball or a mark of sorts floating on top of the liquid. This is a high pressure Encole sight glass in SAE-threads, can be in NPT or Metric or Witworth, that mounting can be any type. Flange also can have this level measuring design. The solution is to have a low density closed cell floating element such as a ball in this example, that snugly fits between the reflector and the window inside the sight glass. Tight space will moderate any vibration, where the ball is constrained by the back side of the window and the reflector. The SAE sight glass fits into the standard SAE female port per J1926-1.

Liquid level indicator sight glass. This works for non-contrasting fluids like water and air. It's hard to tell water apart from air in a common reflector-type sight glass. With a floating red element it's mush easier to see the level. Not the most elegant or accurate solution to tell the level, however it works to approximate whether there is liquid in the system or not.
