Quartz bonded to a long tube housing NPT 1" | PN101238

Sight glass features:

• Operating and Design Temperature: 150°C, 220°C, accordingly.
• Operating and Design Pressure: 3,040 psi, 5,000 psi, accordingly, with a minimum design factor of safety (FOS) of 2.
• Transmitted wavelength range: 210nm - 3,500nm.
• Index of Refraction, nd: 1.4585 at 587nm and 18°C.
• Chemical Resistance: Resists most acids and alkaline materials. Does not resist hydrofluoric acid at any temperature, and phosphoric acid above 150°C.

Long tube sight glass, NPT 1-inch on the end. Quartz window is bonded and sealed into the front of the tube. In retrospect, the HEX feature for the torque wrench should have been made next to the NPT threads, not away on the far end. This is because during installation the side loading at the HEX tends to bend the tube causing uneven sealing at the threads. The tube is long enough to significantly lever the force from the HEX to the NPT threads.
