The sight glass will be installed on pressure vessels with internal rubber lining therefore the steel part of the sight glass will also be rubber lined. Thus, a common forged carbon steel material such as SA105, or SA350 LF.2 is sufficient. The transparent part shall be exposed to the chemical agent and shall be able to withstand 13% concentration of HCL and/or 13% concentration of NAOH.

This window is polished to S-D 60-40 on all flat sides. Product development for a customer in energy applications, Greece.
